On the occasion of the International Human Rights Day on the 10th of December, the Aden Center for Monitoring, Studies and Training is pleased to commemorate this glorious occasion in the history of the human rights movement, and the general humanitarian struggle to ensure the right to a secure life, equality and dignity, and all political, civil, economic, social and cultural rights, stipulated in The Universal Declaration and international covenants and charters, including those related to combating discrimination and violence against women.
Undoubtedly, choosing the issue of equality to be the focus of public activity would increase the importance of the occasion. It earns symbolism and connotations, due to the manifestations of purification, discrimination, and exclusion that many nations and societies face, exacerbated by civil wars, external interventions, natural disasters, authoritarian repressive regimes, health pandemics, and the discrimination, exclusion, violence and exploitation women suffer from.
The 10th of December will remain inspiring and unifying for all those involved in the human rights trend, and for all those who sacrifice, endure hardships, and risk their lives in order to defend the rights of others, foremost of which is the right to a free and dignified life.
Glory and victory for the human rights movement.
